Becca & the Broken Biscuits
'This is grown-up, thoughtful, emotional music that cuts to your heart and feeds your soul'
- BBC Introducing
Becca and The Broken Biscuits were formed in their initial guise back in 2008. Having gigged and toured the UK as a solo artist Becca Williams got together with pals and fellow musicians Joel Roberts, Rob Hall and Claire Newton to create the unique, melodious sound that you hear today.
Having performed at numerous festivals supporting the likes of The Magic Numbers and The Travelling Band, Becca and the Broken Biscuits have created a buzz on the folk-pop scene that has peaked the interest of Jenny Murray from BBC Radio 4 and national radio; performing live on BBC Introducing and regularly on the Andy Crane show. In 2009 they recorded their debut EP and have since released their debut single ‘Train Driver’ in October 2010 with record label Debt Records.
Their sound is one which teams timeless lyrical hooks with catchy folk-pop accompaniment creating songs that are ‘as attentive to detail as they are easy to listen to.’ They are set to be recording their debut album later this year and will be touring the UK this summer.
